CAC’s Mobile Services strives to serve the rural populations who are not likely to access assistance on their own due to various barriers that may include lack of transportation, unstable housing, mental illness, distance to services, and more.
With these populations, one of the most effective engagement strategies is community outreach.
By meeting individuals and families, where they live, CAC can gain their trust and provide them with housing, utility, & food assistance, as well as information & referrals, etc.
The benefit of CAC’s Mobile Services Unit is it can travel to those who most need services and can provide these services to multiple neighborhoods.
Mobile Services can also target specific communities when the need arises.
By becoming a recognizable resource in a community, CAC’s Mobile Services will become familiar with, and gain credibility with, the community members in the various towns of Washington County.
CAC’s Mobile Services reach those who can’t reach us.
